A weekend kit is a list you can defend.
A weekend overland kit is the short list you can carry and power on a vehicle whose limits you have read. Start with year, make, model, cab, and bed or roof. Compare dynamic load and payload before a tent. Weekend Camp is $6,695. A 2024–2026 Tacoma with a 5-foot open bed is the load-checked case. Installation is not included.
| Piece | In the kit list | Still your problem |
|---|---|---|
| Tent | Rough Country softshell 99050 | Bar spread, height, and the dynamic limit |
| Rack | Rough Country 73119 Tacoma reference | Your bed, cover, and year |
| Fridge and slide | 45 L and slide 99021 | Where it anchors, and payload |
| Power | DELTA 3 Max and one 220 W panel | Runtime is not a watt-hour slogan |
| Awning | Straight 99081 | Door clearance and the maker’s wind note |
| Install | Not included | Coming soon — BAR registration pending |
Do it in this order
Name the vehicle
Write the year, make, model, cab, and measured bed length or roof type. Use the builder so vPIC can confirm the name when it is in the database.
Read the limits
Find the door-sticker payload and the rack or vehicle maker’s dynamic rating. Do not multiply a dynamic number to invent a static one. A tent-floor rating is not a roof rating.
Pick a reference list as a hypothesis
Weekend Camp, Trail Comfort, and Extended Camp are kit parts lists at $6,695, $8,495, and $12,695. They are not a quote until the parts match your vehicle.
Reject the known bad pair
Do not combine Rough Country tent 99057 with awning 99047. The builder refuses that pair.
Send what you do not know
Covers, existing racks, and roof type belong in the quote. Unknown is not a yes.
Pay the approved price
A 2024–2026 Tacoma Weekend Camp on a 5-foot open bed is load-checked. Every other matching kit is a fit check: full refund if it does not fit. Installation is coming soon — BAR registration pending — and is not for sale.
Questions
Is Weekend Camp the checklist?
It is one reference list: softshell tent, a Tacoma-cited bed rack, a 45-liter fridge and slide, one-panel power, and a straight awning. Your truck may need a different list.
What is left out on purpose?
Installation, a bumper, a light package, hardwired charging, recovery gear, and fuel.
