Payment follows a known list. Purchasing stays manual.
The sales motion is consultative: a pre-matched kit, a visible approved price, and optional installation later through someone else. The pages, the drawing, and the wording are original to this shop.
1. Name the vehicle
Year, make, and model come from you, with NHTSA vPIC as the identity check and a typed fallback when the service is down. You still confirm body style.
2. Read the status
The server, not the picture, decides among incompatible, quote needed, and validated. Unknown is not compatible.
3. Pay the approved price
Checkout uses the price in pricing.json. STRIPE_MODE decides live or test. If the matching Stripe secret is missing, checkout fails closed and nothing is charged. A vehicle that is not load-checked can still be paid for, with a full refund if the kit does not fit.
4. A parts list, not an automatic purchase
The webhook, after a verified payment, freezes supplier, SKU, quantity, benchmark cost, and link. The owner gets that list by email from orders@socaltrailready.com. No supplier cart is submitted.
